Rachel Borsellino, Owner

JD, MA, LCPC, NCPC, Clinical Supervisor

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Nationally Certified Parenting Coordinator (NCPC), and a Certified Mediator with the state of Illinois.  I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in criminal/social justice from Lewis University, my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University, and my Juris Doctor Degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

I specialize in children, teens, families, and adults experiencing life adjustments, codependency, teen pregnancy and motherhood, parenting issues, parental alienation, narcissistic personality, reunification therapy, divorce, infidelity, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and ADHD.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, and grounded on the premise that we are not defined by our successes, circumstances, or shortcomings, but rather by the choices we make as a result.  Every day is an opportunity to change our lives in some way - to live a little different, to understand a little deeper, to grow a little stronger, and to push ourselves a little harder.  Whether you're in a good place looking to maintain, or in a dark place looking for a way out, you don’t have to do it alone.

In addition to being a therapist, I am a practicing divorce attorney, Guardian ad Litem, and owner of Borsellino Law & Mediation, LLC.

Dr. Michelle Sierzega, PsyD

Forensic Psychologist, Director of Psychological Testing

Dr. Michelle Sierzega is a licensed clinical psychologist with a background in clinical, forensic, and correctional psychology. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals facing complex mental health concerns, trauma, significant life stressors, and involvement with the criminal justice system. She values helping clients feel understood while also providing thoughtful, practical, and evidence-based care. Her professional experience includes psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluation, individual and group therapy, and work with court-involved and justice-involved individuals in correctional, forensic, and community settings. She has collaborated with attorneys, probation officers, courts, and other professionals and understands the importance of balancing clinical needs with the unique demands that can arise when treatment and the legal system intersect.

Dr. Sierzega has particular interest in psychological, neuropsychological, and forensic assessment. Her approach to testing is comprehensive and individualized, integrating clinical history, behavioral observations, testing data, records, and collateral information to better understand each person’s functioning and to provide clear, meaningful recommendations.

In therapy, Dr. Sierzega strives to create a respectful and collaborative environment where clients can speak openly without feeling judged. She recognizes that many individuals involved in the criminal justice system have experienced significant trauma, adversity, loss, or instability, and she believes those experiences are important to understand in the context of current functioning and behavior. Her work is trauma- informed and draws from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, cognitive processing, and other evidence-based approaches depending on the needs and goals of the individual.

Dr. Sierzega earned her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology with a Forensic Psychology specialization and also holds Master’s degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and Sociology with a specialization in Criminology. Her combined background in psychology and criminology has shaped her interest in understanding the complex relationship between mental health, trauma, behavior, relationships, and the legal system.

Above all, Dr. Sierzega believes that effective assessment and therapy begin with seeing the individual as a whole person rather than simply a diagnosis, legal issue, or set of symptoms.
